A good night’s sleep is essential for feeling your best, yet many people struggle with falling asleep or staying asleep. Hemp-derived cannabinoids like CBN and CBD are gaining attention as plant-based options that work with the body’s natural sleep and relaxation systems. These compounds interact with the endocannabinoid system, which helps regulate sleep cycles, making them an appealing addition to a nighttime wellness routine.
Clinical research shows that CBN, in particular, may support better sleep quality. In a controlled trial, participants who took 20 mg of CBN experienced fewer nighttime awakenings and less overall sleep disturbance compared to those taking a placebo. Importantly, these improvements came without increased daytime fatigue, suggesting that CBN may help people rest better without feeling groggy the next day.
The same research also explored combining CBN with CBD, but results showed that adding CBD did not improve sleep outcomes beyond CBN alone. This highlights how different hemp-derived cannabinoids can have unique roles in wellness routines. While more research is still needed, these findings show growing interest in using targeted cannabinoid formulations to support restful sleep in a natural, balanced way.
