In the study “Cannabigerol (CBG) Modulates Neutrophil Activity and Ameliorates Rheumatoid Arthritis Pathogenesis,” scientists investigated how purified CBG affected neutrophils, a type of immune cell heavily involved in inflammation and joint damage associated with RA. The research showed that CBG significantly reduced the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-6 and TNF-α, which are commonly associated with autoimmune inflammation. Researchers also observed that CBG influenced several important inflammatory pathways connected to immune activation and neutrophil response.
